The Covid is raging my life is a mess
I live in pajamas and don’t have to dress
I’m in isolation just staying at home
And would give my last dollar to be free to roam
I’m seriously at risk (or that’s what they say)
Telling me to stay in and not go out each day
In my head I’m so young though my license reveals
I’m a 70-plus senior (but that’s not how it feels!)
When I run out of food and deliveries are late
I have to buy groceries between 7 and 8
So early in the morning I head out to restock
And discover a lineup that winds ‘round the block
Social distancing seniors all 6 feet apart
Make me wonder just when I became an old fart
My meals are repetitive (a lot like my gas!)
And I’m tired of discussing why Trump is an ass
My latest new outfit is gloves and a mask
And I’m starting to wonder if I’m up to this task
I wash all my groceries all fruit, meat and veg.......
Will this additional precaution tip me over the edge?
My beautiful brown hair has wide roots of grey
No hairdressers around to help wash them away
I’ve been talking to myself now I’m answering back
Is it Monday or Friday I’ve really lost track
I’ve stopped doing housework It’s weeks since I’ve dusted
And I know without visitors I’ll never get busted
I Facetime my friends or we group chat on Zoom
And try to pretend we’re all in the same room
Thank God liquor stores are considered ‘essential’
Without daily drinks this would drive us all mental
Every once in a while it is good to reflect
On what this all means and what we can expect
It’s a time to be grateful for all that we’ve got
Like a warm house and food that others have not
The bottom line here by the time this all ends
Is that we’ll get through it with our family and friends
So even if your partner is a bit of a grump
You can really be grateful you’re not married to Trump!

This wonderful video was sent to me by Margo Robinson French. It brought tears to my old eyes.
Margo, what a great video. I can see that most of the crowd are senior's. When I hear and see something like this video , it renews my pride at being an American! Thank you so much for sharing with our classmates.

The Pandemic in Virginia...
Wed, Apr 29, 2020 12:35 pm
Roller, Tidge ([email protected])To:you Details
Staunton, Virginia must be the most fortunate city in America--We have had only 11 known cases of the dread virus as of yesterday (4/28/2020), and I have not heard of any deaths so far... it helps that our Governor is a doctor and understands the importance of distancing, etc.
My husband (Doug) of more than 50 years (1964) and I manage to get through the very long days in various ways-- long walks in the park, occasional forays for food (with mask in place), so far only one Scrabble game which we decided to do cooperatively (which was really fun) (I was an English Major in college and he was in the Architecture School at UVa so he knows how to fit together letters in amazingly tiny spaces), but also lots of television of various sorts. We've started all sorts of things which remain unfinished....like the two vacuum cleaners sitting in the living room, waiting ... while we read and read and read. Wine in the evening helps too.
Our three kids are well, one in Richmond, one in Georgia, currently taking care of 11 (yes,11) foster children, one in Minnesota...and we have 9 grandchildren. The oldest grandson is about to get his Doctorate in Aerospace Engineering at UVa! We'll have a Rocket Scientist in the family!!No sign of the virus with any of them, thank the Lord. We talk to them often, though I have not attempted Zoom yet---I get very anxious when attempting modern technology stuff...
Best to all Radnorites--please stay well...and 6 feet apart, not 6 feet under!!!

I called Sandy Lattimore today and spoke to him. I last saw him a a year ago when I went to visit him at the retirement home in Philadelphia. He was in great spirits and sounded up beat. He asked if I was coming to visit again. I told him I could not because of the Cronus Virus. I asked how he was, and he told me he had the virus, but that he didn't feel bad. I also spoke to the floor supervisor nurse if someone could take a picture of him for our class web site, but was told that only could be requested by immediate family member. I'm sure he would love to hear for all his classmates. His phone is 1 (215) 240-8915 and he is in room 301 B. His birthday is May 5th. Give him a call and wish him a Happy Birthday.

Talked with Stan Scott today. Asked how he was coping with this terrible virus. He said he was only going out to Dr. appointments or necessary items. He asked me if I had another phone # for Charlie Fritzson, because he called the one we have listed and was not a good number. I then e-mailed Charlie but it bounced back as unable to deliver. I then googled charlie and it appears his condo in Sicklerville NJ is for sale. If anyone has an update on Charlie, please advise me.

Hi Joe!
Today is our 49th anniversary. Hoping to make it to the 50th! Celebration for two at home with dinner ordered for tonight. Never expected to celebrate this way. My project for coping with the virus was to shred, shred, shred! At least one hour every day. Not happening! Some progress is being made but it is slower than expected. Life has been good. Turning 80 will be the tough part! Hope everyone is well and stays well! Thanks again for all your efforts in keeping the class of 58 in touch.

I forgot my nightly every day hot toddy during Chink Flu season: Two ounces of Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey, fresh lemon juice and two large dollops of unprocessed raw honey. I use Knob Creek or Clyde May’s. fixes everything . Never had a flu shot. Ruins my immune system. Bourbon and all the rest of my junk works better than normal shots. But hydroxychloroquine standing by.

Sent from my iPad Hi Joe, all is well at the Scott household, I am pretty much home bound. Don't go out much, other than for lab work, Dr. visits on face time. Connee takes care of the necessities. We are both doing fine at the time of this writing. Connee is quite the seamstress and has been making masks for family, and church members. Wehave been following the stay at home orders, as per governor Wolf's orders. Stay home and stay well, wishing all Radnor Class '58 the best of health during this pandemic.

Hope that you and everyone else is doing well also. One thing that we’re doing during the quarantine is instead of going out to dinner on Saturday night we are ordering food from restaurants to eat at home.

The group pictures are pretty self-explanatory. I will confess that I cannot identify everyone in each of the photos. Here in TN we are in isolation. Statistics note that this week will see the most cases in TN. Like everywhere else the schools and universities are closed. Io have a lovely garden in which I can pluck the weeds and prepare for the hot-weather crops in the next month. I have delivery service for groceries, enough toilet paper for the time being, do not need hair coloring, have not bought chicken to raise for eggs and protein, We have TV in this southern outpost as well as well as streaming services...we are in the modern world! Not far from here is an Interstate route and an airport...both of which are useless right now.
With Zoom, Facetime, and Skype, I've chatted with more people than usual. My sister and I hope to figure out how to do a virtual jigsaw puzzle. Any suggestions? Maybe you could nudge fellow classmates to write about their time during this pandemic.
Warm regards,
Nancy

Day 17 of Self-Isolation (Feels like a 100)
Did you know that if you keep a glass of wine in each hand you can’t accidentally touch your face?
I am starting to understand why pets try to run out of the house when the door opens.
Does anyone know if we can take showers yet or should we just keep washing our hands???
I’m so excited; it’s time to take the garbage out.
I wonder what I should wear?
You think it’s bad now?
In 20 years our country will be run by people home schooled by day drinkers…
Your Quarantine name is the last thing you ate and your high school mascot.
Me? I'm a Blue Berry Panther !
Day 7 at home and the dog is looking at me like, “See? This is why I chew the furniture.”
Home schooling question: Does having your children fix you mixed cocktails count as a chemistry lesson? (Sorry, I’m new at this) ??
Where’s your husband?....In the garden….I didn’t see him….
You just need to dig a little.
My Mom always told me I wouldn’t accomplish anything by laying in the bed all day, but look at me now! I’m saving the world!
If you get an email with the subject “Knock Knock” don’t open it.
It’s a Jehovah Witness working from home.
I swear my fridge just said: “what the hell do you want now?”
Coronavirus has turned us all into dogs.
We roam the house all day looking for food.
We’re told “no” if we get too close to strangers.
And we get really excited about car rides.
If anyone owes you money, go to their house now. They should be home.
Homeschooling Day #3: they all graduated. #Done
I’m giving up drinking for a month.
Sorry, punctuation typo.
I’m giving up. Drinking for a month.
Stay well my friend!

Joe - Big time bonus points to you for enabling the Class of ‘58 to connect with each other and to catch up on our lives! I’ve got a few things to add:
First: Fellow classmates, I’ve been waiting a long time to tell you this >> don’t be fooled by the innocent faces of Mutart, Adams or Orsatti. I assure you they were not innocent and probably are still not. In fact, I think Mutart is hiding from the federal authorities. You may have noticed that he has changed the spelling of his last name from Muttart (two “T”s in high school) to Mutart (one “T”). Steve, you can run but you can’t hide.
Marge and I are doing well in our current “lock up” situation. The extent of our outdoor adventures - probably like most of you - is walking, an occasional car ride to get rid of cabin fever and I’m still biking. Ridgefield, CT (our home) is very hilly so a bike ride is a workout, not just cruising along.
All of my fellow classmates: If you possibility can, please come to our next class reunion. We all want to see each other (this party will not go on forever)!

Hi Joe,
Thanks for all you do to keep us connected. This was a great idea.
For me it is hard not being able to go out as usual and all the stores and malls being closed. I am a shopper, can't wait to get back to normal. My projects are cleaning out dresser drawers and rearranging closets. Also, have seen some great recipes on the internet. I enjoy cooking so I took advantage of trying quite a few. Our church has been doing live stream on Sunday mornings which is different.
Hope everyone is staying well and be safe.

I am following the rules and get my distance walk to the beach. Gov. Kemp just opened them again this past Friday . Open for exercise only. No towels , umbrellas or coolers allowed. Being monitored by state patrol.
The Real Estate bisness is by“virtual” only and so far is about looking only. We will see. Looks like Easter will come and go with no churches open and no reason to buy that Easter Bonnet. I am well and hope I stay this way. Time to BUCK UP. Love to all my fellow class mates and their families.

Hi Joe
This sums it up perfectly.
The Florida Keys have been shut off from the mainland so we have been fortunate in Key West.
Key West is a ghost town and we still go food shopping but that is it.
Taking care of my orchids more than usual. Walking and bike riding only physical activities.
Yes I still ride my bike every day and yes it's a 2 wheel .
Our world travels have been put on hold .
Catching up on reading. Mostly but not all fiction.
All in all Deb and I are very fortunate to be quarantined in beautiful Key West.
Hope everyone is safe and well.

Easter Eggs- ( It’s never too late). - You all may want to order fabulous large Easter eggs from Nancy’s Candy Corner who used to have a store in the middle of Wayne. Now she has a booth at the farmers market, but this quarantine has been very hard on her little business. If anyone wants to have her number just e mail me at [email protected]. I want to keep her in business!! She makes the best eggs in the country!( my favorite is coconut!) Your Grandchildren will love them too, especially the ones filled with jelly beans!! I have ordered the pound size for over 20 years!! My son and his wife love them!

Hopefully were all through this in another few months then and find other things to complain about. Or perhaps even somehow even enjoy. Everyone take care.

Who’s doing so well? That’s the only thing I can say about myself as I have my hour filled martini around 6 o’clock at night. Other than that, my life is very boring. But it’s been boring for almost 80 years. And everyone, take care.

I’ll try to add the following.
Steve loves birds. Chasing them every day in Florida. One son lives in Shanghai with his wife and little girl, while my Pennsylvania son lives in KOP with his two boys and wife. Everybody is locked in. Hopefully will get to see each other before this year ends. My prayers are with all of us. And take care.
Joe, I hope that helps. Don’t worry about changing it. I’m used to things I write been changed. Part of my life.

Hi all. Great to hear news. My life has been rather full of itself sitting on my fanny, enjoying the sunset and evening cocktails, walking 5 miles per day. And looking forward to more hot weather this beautiful summer in Southwest Florida. Fun to hear from friends like this. Everybody take care.

Blessings to all, cleaning,sorting,phoning...long chats. Seeing sunrise and sunset...beautiful. I'd be lost without nature. Contemplating life...past,
family and friends who are gone...seems the week for that...had planned to go to Great Britain again, especially Scotland...and reading good fiction or anything, for that matter.
I should be exercising and journaling...oh well.
Has anyone been sewing masks for their church members? Love hearing from everyone. Stay well.

Hi Joe, I'm busy learning how to have virtual meetings. I'm also working on a number of projects. We had a donation to purchase a mobile kitchen. I've included a picture of the power unit to pull the kitchen, which is 53 ft long. I am also converting a damaged glider into a glider flight simulator. And something that some may get a chuckle.

Quarantine humor
Day 1 – I can do this! Got enough food and wine to last a month!
Day 2 – Opening my 8th bottle of Wine. I fear wine supplies might not last a month.
Day 3 – Strawberries. Some have 210 seeds, some have 235 seeds. Who knew??
Day 4 – 8: 00 pm. Removed my Day Pajamas and put on my Night Pajamas.
Day 5 – Today, I tried to make Hand Sanitizer. It came out as Jello Shots!!!
Day 6 – I get to take the Garbage out. I’m so excited, I can’t decide what to wear.
Day 7 – Laughing way too much at my own jokes!!
Day 8 – Went to a new restaurant called “ The Kitchen”. You have to gather all the ingredients and make your own meal. I have No Clue how this place is still in business.
Day 9 – I put liquor bottles in every room. Tonight, I’m getting all dressed up and going Bar hopping.
Day 10 – Struck up a conversation with a Spider today. Seems nice. He’s a Web Designer.
Day 11 – Isolation is hard. I swear my fridge just said “What the hell do you want now?
Day 12 – I realized why dogs get so excited about something moving outside, going for walks, or car rides. I think I just barked at a squirrel.
Day 13 – If you keep a glass of wine in each hand, you can’t touch your face.
Day 14 – Watched the birds fight over a worm. The Cardinals led the Blue Jays 3 – 1.
Day 15 – Anybody else feel like they’ve cooked dinner about 395 times this month?
